Regaining your equilibrium during the working process with a professional homeopath, a look at the overall costs.
I am writing this in response to a few comments from members across various groups who feel that the cost of homeopathic treatment is a barrier to seeking our support. I’m also here to explain and outline what you receive in terms of the professional’s time and therefore give you an opportunity to compare our services hour for hour to those of other professional’s. Money should never be a barrier to good health and you will find a sympathetic ear if you want to start treatment but are in financial difficulty – please always talk about this.
Finding the right homeopath
Finding the right homeopath to work with you in the long term can be absolutely life changing. We are here to offer in-depth knowledge based on extensive training. We are ourselves hugely invested in homeopathy because we have either experienced it’s power ourselves or we have already seen the enormous changes that are possible when applying it correctly. Most homeopaths will have studied for at least 4 years and continue to hone their skills via regular CPD attendance.
How does a Homeopathy consultation work?
How does a Homeopathy consultation work? You have an initial consultation of around 90 minutes - usually with chronic disease the homeopathic often spends a further 30 minutes reviewing your case notes, researching remedies, families of remedies, remedy relationships and Miasms. You will at this stage experience a comprehensive review of your entire medical history and the homeopath will also gather information about your personality and emotional state. So, this represents approximately two hours of our time. Now break down the initial fee into two and look at the hourly rate. Compare this to what you might expect to pay for a massage or a consultation with a private doctor or dentist. Don’t forget our fee often includes ongoing support across many weeks that you may receive before your follow-up via email or telephone.
The Process
Working together with a Homeopath is a process. The next appointment is usually in 6 weeks time and costs considerably less than the initial appointment because much of the essential evidence gathering has already taken place. In chronic disease it is important to allow at least four follow ups with your homeopath in order to develop the working relationship so that you feel comfortable enough to reveal your deeper feelings and specific sensations around your unique pathology or situation. Knowing your response to our remedy prescription is also vital and informs us of our next steps. In general, the longer you have had the disease, the longer your body may take to regain the vitality to throw off the symptoms. Also, the more we know about how you feel, the better we can help. Follow ups are essential and allow further learning and feedback from you the patient. Now divide your follow-up fee into 6 and look at the weekly outlay.
Empowering and Life Changing
You are always supported. We are available via email should you have any issues between appointments as long as you continue to have follow-up appointments ongoing. Now I hope you will see a weekly sum which is actually a very modest outlay in return for symptomatic relief and enormous insights into your health and wellbeing. Recovery from pain is something that you might consider priceless. When a Homeopath walks your journey with you we consider it a great privilege.
Homeopaths are working professionals and we love our jobs. You may want to consider having a look at health insurance if that is helpful. It does depend on each insurance company – but you may not realise that many schemes in the uk do cover homeopathic treatment.
Most homeopaths also offer flexible rates should you be in difficult times – please always ask if this is the case. Meanwhile continue to learn all you can about using homeopathy at home, we are here at Homeopathy247 to support your learning and celebrate passing on our knowledge. I hope this has encouraged you to take the longer view - the long term gain can be both empowering and life changing.
