Move with confidence, Homeopathy and safe exercise in Compression Fractures

Updated: Nov 5

Compression fractures of the spine are relatively common in Osteoporosis and it is important to understand when it is safe for you to move and how you should modify your everyday movements in order to build back muscle strength safely. You should be working with a physical therapist who understands your condition and who has experience in safe movement practice within Osteoporosis - always check this, ask lots of questions, (Weight bearing can be highly problematic for example). Homeopathy can be an incredible support during this process. If you have a complex skeletal history please come and talk to me here.

Homeopathic remedies and Tissue Salts

Homeopathic remedies when accurately prescribed can speed up the healing process so you are free from pain more quickly. Scheussler Tissue Salts are also high up on my list as vital support if you have this diagnosis. Allow me to help you build a pain relief plan for the future.

Every individual in different and a lot depends on the extent of your fracture, the time since fracture and your general health. It is important to allow the fracture to settle but its also important to progress as you feel comfortable into safe movement which will build endurance. More than anything safe exercise builds confidence and that is incredibly important too. You can start by knowing how not to move and build safe movement into everyday tasks such as climbing stairs or even brushing teeth!

I will share this really helpful link form Physical Therapist Margaret Martin whose work I have highlighted before here on the arthritis group.

Focus on good posture and body mechanics and do get in touch so I can support you too. Whatever you do please avoid lengthy sitting and hip hinge whenever you bend!
